Object Name: Jar
Date: 10th century
Geography: Iran, Nishapur
Medium: Glass, green; blown
Dimensions: H. 3 7/16 in. (8.7 cm)
No direct evidence for the production of glass was revealed during the Nishapur excavations, although we assume that glass objects were in fact made in Nishapur, especially the utilitarian vessels found in quantity in the Sabz Pushan neighborhood. This small jar is typical of the glass finds of Sabz Pushan.
